Monthly Horse Sale

UTAH - Any horse from the state of Utah DOES NOT require a brand inspection upon arrival. A Utah brand inspector will be present and can issue you a brand inspection before the sale. It is a $20 fee.

OUT OF STATE - All horses coming from out of the state of Utah MUST HAVE a current brand inspection upon arrival. here

UTAH - No health inspection required.

OUT OF STATE - LAW REQUIRES ALL OUT OF STATE HORSES TO BE TESTED FOR EQUINE INFECTIOUS ANEMIA (COGGINS) BEFORE ENTRY TO UTAH

Utah Administrative Code R58-1-6: (3) Equines shall be tested for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) via AGID or ELISA test within one year before entry to Utah. A nursing foal less than six months old accompanied by its ElA negative dam is exempt from the test requirements.

HORSES GOING DIRECTLY TO AN AUCTION DO NOT REQUIRE A HEALTH CERTIFICATE, BUT DO REQUIRE A COGGINS TEST WITHIN 12 MONTHS. IT IS UP TO THE AUCTION IF THEY ARE WILLING TO TEST AND HOLD THE HORSE UNTIL NEGATIVE TEST RESULTS ARE RECEIVED.

CLM WILL NOT accept or hold horses without a negative Coggins test.

Cedar Livestock Market only accepts Cash or GOOD Checks from verified buyers.

All sales are FINAL once the animal has left the ring.

NO BACKYARD TRADING. Any animal sold on the premises must be clerked through CLMs system and will be charged a commission.
